Holding onto the genesis

I've decided after talking things over with many friends of mine and the fact that I have a Varicam 27H on its way to me, I'm going to hold onto the genesis and all its items and when the time is right, I will begin to build it out. Its too rare of a camera for me to just shell away, would have been a bad move. The varicam can hold me over as my functioning camera until then. Missed that ENG beauty.

My lens plan is to modify the camera to accept M42 lenses. Its a dirt cheap option with minimal risk involved.

The only questions I have is where do I go to get threaded screw holes drilled into the bottom of the camera for tripod use and what can I buy to get a HDVF200 onto it's female viewfinder mount? I figure the tripod screws can get milled into the PV plate which can be removed from the camera.

Will the Sony Handle dock to the top? That’s always an option if you don’t have the Panavision one. One setup you might run into is if the recorder is in the top dock, and there is no L handle like the F35.

I have the panavision one and yes the sony one can dock to the top
