While taking part in a free documentary workshop (http://docsnorth.knet.ca/) I helped in creating this short documentary about prescription drug abuse in my area:
It was a great experience and we had a good creative chemistry. Another participant and I got to switch off camera/boom and we both got to put our mark into the style of the project.
This short was created over a span of 2 days, with all of the b-roll done on the first day and the interview done on the second. Kelly Saxberg then helped us edit it together in final cut pro (she does this for a living so her process is quite efficient).
