We have a HPX171 and two original HVX200's. So far we've used tungsten fresnels, worklights, high CRI fluos, mirrors and polystyren boards. Fine, no problem.
Now we have the budget for a kit of smaller HMI's and consider the Dedolight 400/575 HMI's, which are great tools. But I don't like to overspend. So: has anyone tested the HPX170 and 200's in relation to the qualities of tungsten versus HMI? -Some cameras have problems with near infrared contamination, some cameras are much noisier in the blue channel and prefer daylight color temperature. I don't have a lot of time for doing my own testing, so apart form the benefit of higher lumens per watt, is there an image quality to be gained by using HMI's over tungsten on the HPX170?
thanks, Soren
