HMI: Changing from 60hz to Flicker Free While On?

Hey, all

Here I am again. Just a basic question: whilst working with a ballast that has a flicker free mode, is there anything I need to be aware of when switching modes? Can I do it whilst the light is struck? Does 300hz or flicker free take more energy vs 60hz operation?

Usually you can, yes. I don't specifically know about the Chinese ones such as you have, but I'd be surprised.

The difference is that flicker free mode can cause acoustic noise, a sort of high pitched buzz.
