HMC40 Visits Billion Dollar Ghost Town

I just watched the Jerome video... well done. I also posted this question on Vimeo -- will you describe the workflow and settings to edit and post the video to Vimeo.

Just got my HMC40 a week ago and would love to post some footage on-line.
 
Hello Dave,

I use Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9b to render a 720-30p WMV (Windows Media Version) file that Vimeo seems to handle nicely.

Vegas doesn't require any transcoding because it works with native AVCHD files. I'm having a few glitches with Vegas and the HMC40 clips, but have been able to render successfully so far.

As far as uploading to Vimeo, keep your files under their monthly limit, click the big "Upload" button, and you're on your way.

I was wondering what you had your scene files set at and whether you have ois on or off with your pans.

Hello Chris,

Still experimenting with Scene 1 and landscapes at Detail +2, Chroma Level +2 to 3, sometimes DRS +2. Only change to Barry's LoNoiz is reducing Master Ped to -2 from -13, but still experimenting. I rarely turn OIS off.

Master Ped? I'm ordering Barry's book too, because I think that would give me some hints into that LoNoiz you talk about. :)
