I recently purchased a Panasonic HMC40, it came with the Panasonic XLR adapter and mic, but I wanted to test out my Rode VideoMic GO to compare what the audio would be like. The Rode VideoMic GO does not have a battery, it is powered through the 3.5mm jack that plugs into the camera. It worked fine in my DSLR, but it doesn't turn on when plugged into my HMC40, my guess is the camera just does not support the mic, is this correct ? Thanks.
