HMC40 Questions and Answers

Till we get a sub-section for the HMC40, maybe have a thread for all question and answers for the camera.

I'll start with one. Trying to use a Azden 105 wireless mic with the camera. Have a mini to XLR adapter. The sound is horrible and levels are very low. Is it best to use Ch 1 or Ch 2? What about the input level dials? Also when I have headphones plug in I hear nothing. Any ideas what is going on?
 
I have a concern about comments indicating the HMC40 viewfinder is almost unuseable because of its small size. Are others who use the viewfinder finding this a problem?
