I have read as much as I can concerning the differences between the 40 and 150 (which I own) as it relates to lens, sensor, frame rates and the like, but I need some help with the physical ports/connections.
Aside from audio (which I know requires the XLR adapter), it seems the 40 has the same ports and connectivity options as the 150...except the RCA L/R Audio and Composite connections near the XLR inputs on the 150. But the 40 has an A/V jack (2.5 or maybe 3.5 mm) on the back. What is on the end of that plug and what is it used for?
Also, are there any other differences between the 40 and 150...not only the physical jacks, but what comes out of them? For example, the HDMI? On the 150 that gives you uncompressed 4:2:2 right? (I think I read that correctly in Barry's book). Is it the same on the 40? Or say the composite RCA on the 150 can be used for TC...can that be done on the 40?
I am just trying to make sure I am aware of "all" the differences before deciding on the 40 as a b-cam. Thanks everyone.
Regards,
G.
