Hello guys,
Really need yout help. Been having HMC40 for 2 years, strangely last months camera started give me bugs: when i turn on , it turns off by itself, when i try to shoot take, it also turns off by itself... I though, it could be problem with SDHC cards, with class speed, but i changed 3 cards, no result. Any sollution? Really need your help!

If it turns off completely, my first guess would be power problems -- either a battery that is not holding a charge, or a loose connection between the battery pack and the camera. What happens when you run the camera from the AC adapter that came with it? How old are your batteries, and how many different ones have you tried?

Hi Greg,
I also managed to check the problem with the AC adapter. Problem still the same. But today i found one interesting thing about this problem. When i turn on my camera and press red button (the main record button) the camera still gets down during the take, but when i try to record with the lcd monitor record (the button which is in viewfinder) there seem to have no problem. I think there is some kind of discontact between record button and the signal with the main software of the camera.

P.S. Thanks for the response!
