Hmc40 preview to tv monitor via cs4

So I used to see my edited footage progress in CS3 on my reliable 16" sony tv connecting my firewire cable to my DVX100 and then from DVX's audio and video RCA outputs to the TV monitor
with the "yellow-red-white" standard cable

How should i do it with the HM40 and CS4? ..... no firewire on this cam.... no audio/video RCA outputs! only USB...

I just found it has a AV out, so i can view images from the HMC to the tv monitor. The other issue from my computer to the HMC. I used to do it via firewire...is it possible via the USB?
is there a firewire usb cable out there?
 
No, that workflow doesn't work anymore with modern codecs (like AVCHD, AVC-Intra, XDCAM-EX, etc). Firewire only works with DV/HDV and DVCPRO-HD.

If you want to view the output from your computer to a television, the best way may be to plug an HDMI or DVI cable from the computer to the TV.
