I'm setting up a proposal for Colby College to do their athletic webstreaming next season. I have a Sony vx2000 that is fine for this, but I'd like to use the HMC40 so that after the games I can play back the game in beautiful HD for parents, players and alums in the Athletic Lounge.
My limited research has led me to a Matrox MX02 mini that will take the HDMI out and downconvert it a usable streaming format. I have no need to stream in HD, but the HD playback postgame could be a killer. I'll use a WD HD live for the playback.
So, has anybody done anything of this sort?
