HMC150, zaza slider, which ball head??

Hi,

I just purchased a ZAZA slider and was thinking to get a ball head on it. On the ball head I would attach a Manfrotto 577 adapter with plate, since my other equipments are using the same adapter. So this way it would be quick for me to jump from mono, to tripod, to slider.
I'm looking at the Manfrotto 496 ball head.
Does anybody have a similar set up and can share his experience about it?

You might be better off looking at something like this:
Manfrotto 701HDV Pro Fluid Video Mini Head
(I use an older version of this head)

Why do you want the ball head? With the above, you can do pans & tilts when sliding.
It might be very unstable putting a QR plate on a QR plate on the ball head...:huh:

what about a cheaper Velbon PH-368? would that be also OK?
