I am getting an HMC 150, and currently have a consumer grade avchd cam (though 3ccd but 1/6" sensors) witch will be use for ws, and the hmc150 will be used for cu's. would the footage between the two mix fine?

btw, we are also using zoom h4n to record audio (from the internal mics as well as lav's)

You want to take footage from your sx5 and cut it with your HMC-150?

I think you'll see a difference but if you're asking if you can set a lock down wide shot as a cover cut-away with your old camera and do the bulk of your shooting with your new 150, Of course it will cut together and of course you'll see some difference if you look close, but why not grab an extra angle with your old camera. What you wouldn't want to do is shoot the same shot, same framing, and cut between the two.
I'd cover myself with a few cut away shots from your new 150 of the crowd or wide of whatever and if you hate the look of your old camera against the 150 you can always grab some of your 150 cut-aways to save the day in edit.
Sounds like a little test shoot is in your future. Good luck.
