HMC150 vs. The Cameras Getting Announced

I keep wondering if the AC160 is a 4.2.0 or 4.2.2 and the bit rate. Still have no answer or maybe I missed something. Apologies if I did.

The AC 160 is 4:2:0 AVCHD. The HPX250 is 10 bit 4:2:2 AVC intra on P2.
The 160 has HD SDI though so you can get 4:2:2 by going around the codec.

Man, the new 250 comes so close to perfection for an event camera. All it needs is 3 1/2" CCDs and cheaper CF slots (which is plenty fast enough for AVC-I).

Here's the great thing....Barry's report on the HPX370 chips, which this thing has, shows that Panasonic really did get 1/2" performance from them - except of course for the difference in DOF.

i suppose if NAB is not over yet there isn't one but does anyone know of a "go to" to see a list of all new camera announcements...

Maybe it will have some sort of flash banding technology built it. The chip set should be stellar for 1/3" chips. But then again, those 1/2" chips really make a difference in DOF.
