Hello everyone,

I read somewhere that you can set the HMC to run the timecode none stop so you can sync them between 2 cameras during live events.... is this true? and how exactly would i do this? thanks for your help. This would make my life much easier since i shoot live events. thanks

Set both cams to free run in timecode menu.

Take a composite cord and plug one end into the composite video out on one HMC-150 and plug the other into the compsite video out on the other HMC-150. In the TC menu go to Link -> set Master on one camera and then do Link -> Set Slave on he other camera. Now they're linked. Push the counter button behind the LCD until you can see the correct free running timecode. Make sure both cameras timcodes match up.

The manual has everyting you need to know about this... read it!

thanks a million. Do they need to stay plugged the whole time i am recording or just plug them in to sync then i can unplug them?

thanks for your time.

ok thanks i read it. One other question, I would need to buy the component to component cable right? Because the HMC only comes with component to RCA right? thanks

No, the component and composite are different ports. The HMC comes with all the accessories you need (check the manual - it shows near the front). They also give you some composite -> BNC adapters if you want to sync using BNC cable.

You cannot sync them using the component cables.

You need to use the composite connection (the yellow RCA output) that is beside the XLR inputs.
