HMC150 Time Date STamp just not working

Ok, I did a search here and on the internet. I need to film a deposition and figured my good ole HMC150 would be perfect. I set Time / Date stamp to "on" under recording properties in the menu but... Nothing. I played it back in camera and on my PC both from the mts file and when imported from the card. I checked the time and date and they are set properly. All I can find online is the simple instructions on how to enable it. Has anyone else had this problem or do I have an odd malfunction on my cam. Everything else seems to work perfect and always had; I've just never needed a time/date stamp before.

Thanks if anyone can help...

I think the timestamp is recorded as metadata and is never rasterized into the actual image. ( i.e. it's not burnt into the actual image itself )

Set Time stamp to "ON" and, under DISPLAY SETUP, set DATE/TIME to TIME, DATE, TIME & DATE or OFF, depending on what you need. Probably you have this setting to "OFF".

+1 for tompa's reply. If all is set as above, there should be a red R inside a box as a screen indicator in the lower LH corner of the EVF and LCD screen.

Holy cow, thank you soo much! I can't believe I didn't come across that simple extra step on my google search especially since it apears that the default setting is off under display. Man, I can't even tell you how relieved I am.

Thanks again!
