Just trying to get a feel to see which SDHC cards seem to be working the best for the HMC150...

So... What SDHC Cards are you guys using?

- Brand?
- Class Number?

also, please mention if your chosen card has either been working great for you (with no problems at all) or, if you've had any issues with any cards that you've used -

thanks!

I've had an excellent experience with A-data 16gb memory cards, I bought 4 of them about 2 years ago and have had no issues

whatever you get make sure its not a panasonic uhs-I memory card, ive had one fail on me after 3 months of use

I use Lexmark class 10. And also class 6. I have had no problems wih either of them. The class 10 take about 7 seconds to format where the class 6 take about 20 seconds. I will only buy class 10 now thow.

I would get the absolute fastest cards you can afford. The AVCHD codec is high efficiency and only requires sustained 24mbps write speeds (-ish) for proper recording, meaning you can get away with high quality Class 4. But with USB3 readers and ports becoming more and more the norm, the faster Class 10s and above will speed up getting your footage ingested tremendously.

21mb/s and 21MB/s are two completely different things. It's megabits and megabytes. AVCHD is only around 2.1MB (megabytes) per second, which equals around 21 megabits/s. Cameras/codecs are rated in megabits, while cards are rated in megaBYTES. Any class 6+ will work just fine and anything faster is irrelevant for AVCHD capture.

The reason people buy the super 60000000x cards are:

-they copy faster (if you have a USB 3.0 reader)
-they capture more stills per second on DSLR's, where each still can be upwards of 20 megaBYTES raw.

For AVCHD, it's a non issue.
