I'm going to be on a shoot with the HMC150 (but don't have access to the camera yet) and want to know if I am correct in reading the manual to say that one can output video from the HMC via single RCA cable? I'm going into an old Sony Trinitron SD monitor (which has BNC). Thank you!

Yes, the 150 will output via RCA. You'll want an adapter plug to go through the BNC I believe. The 150 offers output via RCA (yellow,white,red), component HD(green,blue,red), and HDMI

Yes, you can output with a single RCA (yellow) and you'll be fine. No matter what output you use, it'll display on the external monitor while recording.
