**HMC150 Nice Gradeable Scene File

Hi..I am about to take the HMC150 as a C cam in about 24 hours...can anyone please provide me a nice gradeable scene file I can lock in before my shoot. I haven't used the HMC in a while. I actually had a few scenes saved from Barry's book that I bought around 08/09, but I reset the camera to its factory settings to make sure it's fresh and ready to be dialed in a gain.

Thank you!

I don't shoot with the HMC-150 very often now, but when I do this is what I use...

Detail: -2
V Detail: -2
Detail Coring: +2
Master Ped: set by checking the waveform monitor with the iris fully closed ( keep lowering the value until the noise is gone from the blacks, always set using the maximum gain you will shoot with )
Cine D gamma
HD Norm 2 Matrix

This gives me a fairly "flat" low noise image, that helps to control contrast.

...And don't forget to black-balance every time you power-up the camera.

Try this:

Detail Level: -5
V Detail: -5
Coring: -3
Chroma Level: -6
Chroma Phase: 0
Color Temp Ach: 1
Color Temp Bch: 1
Master Ped: 18
A. Iris: 1
DRS: 1
Gamma: Cine-like D
Knee: Auto
Matrix: Norm 2
Skin tone DTL: off

This is straight fron the Panasonic PASS website!

Has anyone ever used an external recorder (via HDMI) with the HMC150? Is it possible or worth it?

Yep, Sound Devices Pix240. Video slightly sharper maybe, but real assets in improved audio recording capability, additional monitor for exposure or focus, and more direct post workflow.
