HMC150 Issue with FCP

So, long story short, I think the card I was filming on became corrupted. Before I began shooting, I took an already formatted card for the HMC and deleted some footage through a card reader to make some room. Now, after filming, FCP will not recognize the camera for a log and transfer. I can still go onto the card and find the .mts files to play with VLC player. How do I go about getting these clips into Final Cut Pro?

Any help is extremely appreciated

Do you have Toast 10? If you do, drag the MTS files into Toast 10 (select convert tab and choose video files) and push the big red button on the bottom right. It will then ask you what codec to convert them to and since you have FCP installed you will be able to choose Pro Res, DVCPRO, etc..
If you don't have Toast 10, maybe someone else can mention a similar program.

Thanks, I will try to find a way to use Toast 10 then, but yes, any other free or cheaper methods would be appreciated as well.

Mpeg streamclip is free and i think it now supports .mts files.

I actually had attempted that, and we had no such luck getting it to recognize the .mts clips

Am I missing something? Should it work?
