HMC150 in FCP

I am new to the HMC150 workflow in FCP and I have a couple quick questions. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it!

1. "Matrix Stereo" what is it and is there any way to bring the audio in as two mono files?

2. Clip #1, Clip #2, Clip #3 etc... Is there any way to change this before FCP. Can the "global clip ID" thing be seen in FCP and if so how do I enable it?

Any help would be great!

What version of FCP are you using on what computer?

Also, remember to first backup your complete SDHC cards.

Then use Log and Transfer in FCP to convert to pro res or AIC depending on your needs.

Set audio in L&C's Preferences for AVCHD to be Plain Stereo, ProRes LT (or 422 on pre-v.7 FCP), and in the Import Settings section, you can set audio to be two mono tracks. Once you drop a clip into a Sequence, you can then change it to Stereo Pair, or two mono tracks, back and forth, very easily.

FCP 7.0.3

I am very familiar with a ProRes work flow and once I get it in.

I have worked with P2 for years. Can the SD cards get the same errors that the P2 cards can get while dragging and drop data from the card. Should I be using a program to transfer like P2 Genie did? If so what program would that be?
