I read the HDMI output port specifications on the HMC150 to be 1080/60i and 720/60p, with no mention of 24p native or otherwise. If it doesn't output 24p native, is there a 24p over 60i capability (now or in the future)?
The camera has to add some kind of pulldown to be able to output 60i (while in 24p). Whether it's 2:3 or 2:3:3:2 (guess it's 2:3) is not important here, because HDMI is uncompressed - it doesn't matter how the 24p frames are laid out and in 60i fields - in either case it should be possible to remove the pulldown to get the original 24p signal without any quality loss (provided the HDMI output has been captured to disk as uncompressed, which might be a challenge due to its huge bandwidth, or the capturing hardware/software is able to remove the pulldown on-the-fly)
