HMC150 for wedding video

Really? I usually keep the pedestal between 0 and -2, left coring alone, and raised the saturation to 3 and it looks great. What Gamma do you have it set to?

[edit] Nevermind, I see it's in HD Normal. I usually keep mine set to B-Press. I believe the Cine Gammas will introduce some noise (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Was that what it was set to before?

Evro, why do you think the Canon has the most Robust image? From that other thread... Which do you prefer?

Each one has it's place so I like both! But, in terms of highlight handling & post image butchering the XH-A1 images really keep it together. The Canon also does not give you that yucky purple fringing on hot highlights that you get with Panasonic.

It's all a big compromise though ;) I would not have been able to shoot good clean footage last weekend at +12dB on my Canon though :)

Hey Mark, you can programme the XH-A1 gain switch in the menu (aka the labyrynth) to anything between -3dB and +36dB (in 3dB increments.)
