Hi all,
I've done some reading and I think I understand the flow, however I need to be corrected if I got it wrong
1. I shoot in 1080/25P on my HMC152, and the 25P is carried within 50i stream with indicators that it is progressive footage. (if yours is a 150, simply substitute 25P with 30P and 50i with 60i.)
2. I log and transfer it to FCE4, which only gives me a 1080/50i option. If I am not wrong, this doesn't actually make too much of a difference because of point 1, right?
Also, I notice that when I shoot 1080/50i, log and transfer's preview works great. When shooting 1080/25P, L&T preview is a solid green screen however audio imports just fine. The actual ingesting of the footage works perfectly for either format so no problem there.
3. When exporting using Quicktime Conversion, I typically want a 720/25P stream out of it, so if I'm not wrong, I should set 1280x720, 25fps, keyframe every 25fps, and deinterlace, correct? My intended output is for computer screens, Quicktime playback, and the various video sites on the Net, hence the preference for 25P output.
If I do not tick the deinterlace option, and leave the framerate as current, will I end up with 50i?
Thanks!!
