HMC150: EVF image seems to have "shrunk"?

OK, so it's been a while since I've used my HMC150 and I could just not be remembering what the EVF is supposed to look like on this cam.

The image and the overlays do not "fill" the EVF screen. There is about 1/4" to 3/8" of blank space below the lowest overlays and about 1/8"or more gap on each side. In other words it does not match the side LCD screen at all.

EVF (Obviously the glowing part of the image not the deep black.)


Side LCD (Sides go right to screen edge, with a normal amount of spacing, top and bottom).


Menus use the full EVF screen. Forgot to check playback.

I could have sworn the image with overlays acted more like the side LCD and filled more of the screen.

Have you tried adjusting the diopter control on the EVF? There is a control ring around the eyepiece of the EVF that controls the size of the image. Try adjusting that and see what happens.

Yes. It's not the diopter. It's about as bad as viewing 4:3 in a 16:19 window. Box in a box. ACtually, that is exactly what it looks like.
