I was hoping to shoot an event with two cameras: an HMC150 and a Canon XHA1. Will I have any workflow issues if I use Neoscene to convert the footage before editing? Anything I should be worried about?
I don't think so. I used to use an XHA1 along side my 150 for about a year. I used to convert AVCHD files to DVCPro-HD, using the Main Concept deal, and put them both on the timeline and it worked OK. I am sure Neoscene would work same way. Only issue I had was with long rendering times, when mixing DVCPro-HD with HDV on a Premiere Pro CS3 timeline. That part took quite a while.
I eventually went and got a 2nd HMC150, updated to an i7 950 quad core with 12GB's of ram, and CS4. Much better.
