Good afternoon!
I'm new here and wanted to ask if the HMC150's footage is compatible with Vegas 7? if not is Vegas 8 compatible? I really am looking at buying this camera and selling my DVX

If you want to edit the native HMC150 files, you should look at upgrading to Vegas Pro 9, which has good ( but not perfect ) compatability with AVCHD files.
This also requires a kick-ass computer ( i.e. Intel i7 CPU or high-end Intel Core 2 quad chip ) to handle the amount of compression that comes with AVCHD files.

Otherwise, you will need to use a good transcoder utility that will transcode your AVCHD files into something with less compression like MPEG-2. ( And you have to live with the extra time involved with the transcoding process. I bought a new i7 based computer to avoid having to transcode my AVCHD files. )
