HMC150 24p vs. DVX100 24pa

A friend of mine was looking over my HMC and mentioned that the DVX100 had something called 24pa (advanced) that was different (in her opinion better) than the DVX100's 24p setting.

The HMC150 has one 24p setting. Is the 24p setting on the HMC like the 24p or 24pa setting of the DVX100? Are these settings even comparable between these cameras?

It's better than both. With the HMC150 it records a straight native 24P with no pulldown of any type. The DVX had to embed its recordings in a 60i data stream so it offered two different "pulldown" systems. The HMC150 has no such restriction so it just records the 24fps natively.
