I love my HMC but for the type of video work I do I need the Mark II its a tough choice for me as there are so many things to love like the waveform monitor and the focus assist. I am a stock video shooter witn usually no sound. Is there any reason to keep the HMC?

I can think of plenty of reasons to consider keeping the HMC and not just having a MK11. The 150 is just an easy camera to operate and pull off both decent audio and video. I think the MK11 wouldn't be also a great camera to shoot some action sports and if you were riding in a vehicle with tons of vibration and such. Much will be fortcoming and it's an exciting time, but you have to consider the lens you will be using and other factors. I'm looking to get either the canon or the GH1. That's appealing simply due to price alone.

And the GH1 has continuous AF. That's huge for video. Even though I shoot a lot in manual focus, there are times when it's just not easy to do. So to have AF in video mode for the times you need it, that's a big advantage.

GH1 shoots only 1080/24p and 720/60p? And the new canon xti shoots 1080/20p and 720/30p...

ew. Whats with the weird choices. Got to get the Mark II to have the 1080/30p to match with the HMC. Unless you want 24p only.

You should use both. Then, you'll see if you still use the HMC.

But don't forget that the 5DII is primarily a photo camera and you can't shot for long periods of time.
