Hmc jam timecode?

Hi

I was reviewing my hmc150 manual with it's timecode master and slave capability and was wondering if you could use the hmc video out to jam an sd 702t with it's ltc output? Or could you put the hmc into slave mode and jam it from the 702t?

no, but I know it works good on 2 hmc150's :)

Looking it up online... Do you even have a composite video connector on your 702t? That's what the HMC150 uses to sync.

The 702t has a BNC, so maybe using a BNC adaptor would do the trick... i don't have a 702t or access to one so i could test it.
Good luck, it seems like a really good unit!

Yeah, Panasonic actually gives you a few BNC -> Composite adapters with the camera, which I assume is for timecode.

Yes, from what I have heard...an adapter would do the trick as the 702t supports LTC. I think the bnc adapters were probably for the component out cable...but hey that was a good idea to use it for timecode!

I was just hoping someone had tried it. So for those of you with two HMC's, when you set one to master and one to slave, you just jam them and then remove the cable and they'll stay in sync for a few hours? Or do you have to keep them connected? Thanks to those with direct experience with this.

Once you sync them (one master one slave) you don't need to have them connected anymore, that would defeat the idea of having two cams!

expect to get in the ball-park with this method, you might have to adjust a few frames here and there... remember they're sync not locked together! (but it should work pretty good for you)
