HMC-40 White Balance

Guys,
it might a stupid question..and perhaps one that would require a RTFM response...
but, how do you guys achieve manual white balance on the hmc-40?

i have owned the camera for a year, and i always do AWB, while sometimes it is good...other times things are way off.

what are the techniques you guys use to white balance?

Switch camera to Manual.

Use "White Bal" button on camera to cycle to "AWB Bch".

Hold button down until the LCD goes black and you see "AWB ABB OK".
