HMC 40 Side camera Fitness Video

Do you mean only the tight side camera angle of her face when she was talking was the HMC40?
What camera was the rest of the video shot with?

Thanks, It was a Canon T4i using Magic Lantern to increase de Bit rate, to 70 Mbs, and using the Mosaic Engineer antialising filter,
Also the Lighting were 3 Lowel Lights with Dichroic filters.
 
Color was very close to final out of the camera, However somo Color Correction was made with Premiere CC and some in Davinci
 
Did some editing from a shooting i did last year in my HMC150,i was surprised to see how formidable these cameras still are despite what we have today.
 
That is right the HMC40 is a camera that will be in my bag for the years to come, the image quality and resolution is great.
 
Yeah the HMC40 is still a mighty little camera. It's 1080 is sharp. I just don't like it's insufficient ND and poor low light performance.
I still use it. I used the lower res HMC 150 just a week ago for a sporting event.
These cameras still look good and are reliable workhorses.

That Canon color sure looks good!
 
I solved the ND Needs with a 2 and 3 stops filters from B+W, as far as lowlight Never use it with more than 12 db gain, and that means in those situations
use lighting, in fact Lighting for me is present even with sun light, I think lighting is the hard of Videography as well as Photography.
 
Yeah lighting is key can really help and even completely make or break a shot.

I also got B+W ND. My AC 90A has the same issue - not enough ND. While adding external ND fixes it, it is an extra hassle during events and fast run&gun. On set-up shoots not so much.
Anyway, that's just the way it is and we work around it, right? :)

Glad it's still serving you well. I wonder how many people are still using these sharp little cams?
 
I think there are some improvements on the newest Panasonic AG-AC30, I have not buy it because on one side is a little bigger, and the HMC40 is ready for the next 10 years.
Panasonic makes very durable cameras, the other day I went to a university to give a seminar to students, and was crazy to see that one of their cameras was a Panasonic AG-DVC30 MiniDV 3CCD Video Camcorder.
still in good condition used by the students, I can tell that HMC40 has the same buid quality, however not sure if the AG-AC30 has that build, I don't think so.
 
I remember the AG-DVC30 camera also. Many people liked it. I had two of the shoulder mount version (DVC60) and they worked flawlessly. I just traded my last one a week ago.
