hey I recently shot a wedding with my HMC40 as a second camera and sometimes the footage is brighter and then in a sec it becomes darker... :furious3:

Can someone tell me what can cause this problem? Im am making a first steps in the whole videography world and sometimes I do not understand what happen to my footage.

Here is a video:

The moving waves, which are varying in brightness, are causing the auto-exposure to keep readjusting. That said, the effect seems very extreme in this particular shot ... not sure why. Keep in mind that most of the "iris' adjustment with the HMC40 is actually via ND filters, rather than aperture size ....

I agree with Graham's assessment about the auto exposure over correcting.

Auto exposure can help get you in the proper range, but it has its limits - and can be easily fooled by changing brightness of objects within the scene. When shooting outdoors, you may wish to expose manually and use a polarizer to reduce glare, as well as the tools available on the camera like WFM and zebras to get best exposure.
