HMC-150 Shuts off after 5 seconds - Makes weird motor sound after

Hey everyone, so I turned on my HMC today and after about 5-10 seconds it automatically shuts off, and after that it makes a weird clicking sound near the lens. It is similar to the rattle when the camera is off, but it is more of a click and it is constant until I turn the camera back off.

I called Panasonic today and they are going to get someone to call me back within 48 hours, but I was curious if anyone here knows what the problem might be? It must be an internal problem, but my camera is no more than 3 weeks old either.

I am shooting a documentary in Alaska this sunday on my family vacation and I am hoping I can get the camera working/repaired by then.

If anyone has any information please let me know!
 
I think it might have been a battery issue because it's working fine now that the adaptor is plugged in. The battery is dead although it showed full when it was on. I did a system reset as well and it hasn't messed up yet.
