HMC 150 Purchase question

I have never encountered that crackling thing (and I've filmed lots of event, concerts, theater plays.... since I got it), knock on wood..... BTW, I use panasonic 16g cards if that is useful and I always use a phantom powered mic pluged into the 2CH and record it in the two available channels one with the volume up and the other with the volume a bit lower....

I must also say that I've never seen a any glitch or electronic fail or any other problem everything has worked flawlessly...
hmm interesting. Sorry, i'm not the best at audio stuff. So you record into both channels with the same mic? How do you do that simultaneously? Just use an xlr splitter type thing and plug it into both imputs?

On channel 1, you can select from input 1, input 2, or the internal mic. Channel 2 can be input 2 or internal mic. So both channels can record input 2 simultaneously.

I like that idea, so is it possible the crackle could happen on one input and not on the other?

Dunno, I'm using my own wireless mics and recording live music straight from a soundboard (not at the same time) every week... using both inputs when I do this... and haven't had this issue. And I have one of the original batch I believe.

I don't want to break up the conversation or anything but I did just want to say thank you to everyone for helping me out with my questions on the HMC150. I'm going to tell my teacher friend everything you guys have told me. I really appreciate it.
