HMC 150 Buzzing sound

I just received my HMC 150 today . I charged the battery and powered the camera up . I immediately heard a loud buzzing sound emanating from the camera body almost like the sound speakers make when near a cell phone . I can't believe that this is normal . Anyone else hear this sound in their cameras? I first thought that it happened when zooming but the sound is there just holding the camera .

OK , the buzzing happens when I have the auto iris activated . The sound goes away when I switch to manual iris .The buzz/humming sound seems loud enough that the internal mich could pick it up . Anyone else hearing this ?

i just tried mine. in both auto iris and full auto mode. and no loud buzzing noise. might wanna give your vendor a call.
 
Thanks . The buzz also happens with auto focus engaged . I'll be calling the vendor and Panasonic on Monday . I can hear the buzz even with my ear a foot away from the camera.
