Does the 4.3 aspect ratio look squeezed or cropped and will the camera put out TC in all recording modes? Thanks
 
hmc150 does not shoot in 4:3, only 16:9. I'm in the middle of wrapping up a video that was 95% shot on SD cameras, so I'm just cropping out most of the picture shot with my HMC if that helps at all.
 
There are 4x3 framelines though that are very helpful in composing your shots. I have done quite a lot of shoots that had a DVCPRO50 4x3 completed master.
 
The composite out will allow for SD 4x3 to, say, a DV deck. It will do bother letterbox and cropped. But that is the only way other than in post to get a 4x3 image.
