Hitman Dialog, short test.

Well,

On my last thread, someone posted "hey, whats up with your webpage?" I agreed, what was up with my webpage. So I updated it and added this little test I did.

I have a AKG c100s microphone and wanted to see how it performed in just a normal room for dialog. So I grabbed my laptop started typing, set up some lights, a mike stand and my DVX.

The end result, probably breaks a few of the DVX rules (Especially young white guy with a gun :D) but I did learn something from this, I need a decent mike.

Take a look let me know what you think. Right click, and save it to your hard drive though. Thanks.

Re: Hitman Dialog, short test.

First of all, nice website. Very clean and professional. (Note: Add a title to your header, it just says "Untitled Document" - not professional ;D ) Oh, and the logo is great too.

The video was ok. The sound didn't bother me. Although I did hear your actor laugh at one point and when he hands the paper to the hitman it's oddly quiet. Some of the edits were very rough. Watch for continuity. When you shoot from behind the hitman it looks like he's leaning forward, but when you to his front shot he is leaning back. Maybe I'm wrong. Other than that I thought it wasn't too bad for a quick project.

Keep on shooting. Good luck!

Re: Hitman Dialog, short test.

Yeah that gun! whoo hoo, thank god for airsoft.

The edits were VERY rough, continuity almost doesn't exist in this. The laugh was something I didn't notice until the file was already uploaded.

But what do you guys think about the lighting on Chris, he's the guy with the rockabilly haircut ;). When I shot this I set up the lights and didn't move them at all for each angle. Is it okay to move lights in between angles like that?

Re: Hitman Dialog, short test.

deffinitaly, i mean u want to establish some type of continuity, but really u want each shot to be lit well and the guy in the brown coat looks washed out with light. Move ur lights around and play until u get something appropriate for the mood while still looking like somewhat logical

its called "Artistic liscense" (lisense?, **** SPELLCHECK!)

Re: Hitman Dialog, short test.

the over the shoulder shot of the guy in blue is very cool with the back light... but the shots of the guy in brown need work.... IMHO- a change of location and more dramatic lighting could do alot for this... keep making stuff and posting it
