What does he say and what provoked that?

In retrospect that would be quite funny but I would have been pissed at the time.
 
The dude thought i didn't speak french, and he was on some anti-anglo tip. He was mentally unbalanced, and just approached us out of nowhere. We did not provoke him in the least, but i guess ponting a camera at a stranger is always a provocation.

I had pee spots and brown spots. Just kidding. I kind of saw it coming, luckily nothing happened, and it will teach me to avoid such a situation, as opposed to keep the camera rolling and wait for the worse. If anything i was a little embarresed to have let someone touch my camera, and i was obviously not going to do anything about it. The old man was crazy, and you shouldn't really mess with people like that. Made for funny footage though.

Tom, you and Drew are savages! The temptation was there, but it was I who had to take responsibility for the situation. And putting an insane old man down was not going to help. But had he cracked the camera lens, or even the plastic Leica hood, I would have taken out my blade and definately poked him up. Then i would have switched the camera to 1080, put it back on the tripod, and filmed his glorious death in full rez mode.
I had 2 16gig p2 cards to kill, and in the meantime Drew and his little brother could have made their way over to dispose of the body. (Drew's rates are still pretty low, and then i would have had another addition to my homemade snuff collection)

Nice to hear the accent on the bum.... so cosmopolitan. Reminds me of the year that I lived in Montreal... in St. Laurent actually.


I've had a few run ins with some crazy nutters. Recently the worst thing I've ever dealt with happend and I lost my cool. While I was shooting a concert some drunk chick came up and leaned up against my lens.. putting her full weight on my camera lens while I was shooting.... Pushing the cam all the way around and then acted like she didn't do anything. Man I used the sewer mouth on her and her bf... Never been so friggin' mad at someone while shooting..

really though, i'm glad you didnt catch an aggravated assault charge that day. :thumbup:

reminds me of when this bum walked up on me when i was with this chic and he started cussing me out for no reason, lol. funny stuff.
 
Oh man I would have hunted him down and scared the piss out of him for doing that but again like you said hes got some mental issues. Glad your cam is alright.
