Hip Hop Video shot in Belfast

Well you know the video wasn't bad - if not a bit stereotypical "we up in da club" sort of setup. I will be honest and tell you I had to turn off the song about a third of the way through, by the song I mean I had to mute the volume in quicktime.

There were some cool shots in there, my favorite being the sillhouette of the singer and the girl infront of an orangeish backround, the lighting there was great. In other places the lighting was just not doing it for me. It just felt overdone, sometimes less is more. There were no shadows on their faces, it was just like, you sort of set up 2 sets of 1k worklights and just bounced em off the cieling (which works sometimes, but here it just felt like there was no character to it, their faces just had tons of light and like - I don't know it just stuck out to me)

I don't want to be too harsh or anything I thought the video was well done, just giving you the things I didn't like. I liked the pacing, except for the jump cuts on beats of the video, but that's an artistic thing, so I'm sure theres people here who will disagree.

Great job

Not bad at all. Actually , well done. I might have added some bass to the track and some stronger close ups for the vid but other than that ,nothing I would change. Good work.

Couple questions though. Was this video shot at pure platinum? And where did you find all the chicks?

I know what u saying about the "we up in da club" sort of setup but ur right, its a question of taste and i guess thats what D-ROO the artist wanted so we had to give it to him. Check out the other videos on www.digitalsneakers.co.uk as they have done wide variety of stuff

The video was shot @ the Odssey in Belfast, Northern Ireland and all the gals actually came an auditioned for the video. I believe there were up to about 40 or so in total out 90 or so applications. And they all dun it for free which is always a good thing

video was not bad at all, and this isn't even a comment on that but when I saw this guy my first thought was, "great, the world's next vanilla ice"...this is Europe's payback for what we did to the music world, right? :p and I don't even mean the song, I mean the jacket and the hair, yeesh!, this guy *does* realize what year it is, yes? Even getting the decade right would be a good start. Again, this isn't the video's fault, but still...yeesh!

this and the impending Spice Girls reunion, ok we're sorry! Vanilla Ice has been securely relegated to realty tv and getting his ass beat on celebritiy boxing, so let's just call it a draw! :p

ps...he actually said, "everybody bust a move"(!!!)...Young MC's career is spinning in its grave I tellz ya...

ok I'ma shut up, it's just that I'm a New Yorker, we take that hip-hop thing personally :p
