Hightlight option not showing up on LCD or viewfinder

Greetings... Inexplicably I can't get the highlight option to show up on the screens even though it's selected to be on and not grayed out. I had a problem with this before but I can't figure out why it's not working now. The histograph shows up but not the highlight option and it's quite helpful in setting the exposure. As much as I love the cameras final output it's set up is confusing and way way way too many "stupid" options that convuled the menus.... Having been shooting a lot more with the AF100 lately... the GH2 is getting picked up a bit less for a few reasons... Still a good one, but this kind of stuff pisses me off....


Anyone with advice as to why it's not showing up please let me know. I don't have a monitor plugged in or antyhing like that either...
 
Nevermind... I figured it out.... DARN stupid me... I didn't realize there was another highlight record option that needed to be on... Again though... kind of confusing...
 
haha, I had this same "user issue" this weekend... seems it only took you a few minutes to figure it out.. I was not so lucky..
