GH13 Highest Quality Lens GH13

Hi,
just wondering if anyone had recommendations on the highest quality lens for the GH13?
I am currently using a Nikkor 50mm 1.8/d, and some other old nikon glass. Working quite good.
Any other suggestions?
That would be great :)

your question would be nearly impossible to answer, there are too many variables that come into play.

lens to lens, focal length to focal length, fast to slow... all lenses have different characteristics and all people have different aspects they regard as good and bad, its almost like asking who is better... Michael Jordan or Steven Spielberg?

i imagine those big PL mount prime lenses that cost $10,000 would be pretty high quality, in a dream world where i could afford a set of those id not be using the GH13

may i ask are you looking to buy this lens that has the highest quality? i have a set of canon nFD primes that are pretty cheap and match my needs, theres loads i have to work on way before i go into spending silly money on big boy lenses. (i think the nikon lenses are better than FD's from what i've read)

composition, lighting, flow, balance, story, emotion, feel, conflict, angles, shots, lenses, i'm enjoying learning all that stuff and am happy with "ok" quality lenses for now, they are still really good quality tho.

i also have the 14-140, 20mm & 14mm pancake, all great lenses and very sharp, almost too shark next to the FD's.

I have been using these three Zeiss lenses (C/Y mount) + Novoflex adapter on the GH13 and have loved the results.

28 F/2 "hollywood"
50 F/1.4
85 F/1.4

I also have the 20 F1.7 pancake and 14-140 kit lens and other than lack of autofocus, i much prefer the Zeiss lenses overall. Note that this is purely subjective (i.e. not based on rigorous analysis).

I've also tried out some old Nikkor Ais lenses (28mm F/2.8 and 50mm F/1.8) and these looked great as well. If you've already subscribed to Nikkor, then check out the 28mm F/2 Ais which i've read is a knockout.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your responses, I guess I frased my question a little wrong ;)
I was simply looking for some lens recommendations. Got some old nikkor glass that will come to use then.
Thanks,
Lukas

There's a school of thought that spending huge amounts of money on glass is a bit of a waste for video (but not for stills work). Vintage glass should work fine, and I'm getting tack sharp results with my standard panasonic lenses. You should google lens reviews anyway, as some vintage glass has a reputation for being sharper than others.
