Higher resolution music video

Don't know yet, took a while to figure out what was going on, then I was lmao, it just took a bit to get there. Could take or leave the look but I guess the drabness of it all makes it even funnier when the conservative looking characters start dancing.

i didn't know what to think- it was like a nightmare... but technically, I think you did job well done!

Hello there!

I edited the separate scenes in vegas and I "upped" the black levels with color curves, then I applied a little magic bullet (bistro i believe) and I put a little orange in the highlights, greens in the midtones and then I desaturated the whole thing.

Nightmare? I'm sorry to hear that. Whas it the song or the concept? Thanx for the technical critique though!

The main problem with the song/concept is that the song and the video doesn't really kick off until halfway through. If you like the song (which I do) then perhaps it's like a build-up. If you don't like the song on the other hand, then it might be unbearable to watch, I don't know, maybe I should shorten the flutesolo so that people watch the whole thing?

What do you think?

Regards

I dug it! It has a Daft Punk goes to "The Office" (which all of you MUST have seen by now!) vibe to it. Good colors, good concept and good dancers! Excellent editing, too. It ain't easy to make a music vid to an instrumental...

i liked the idea of the video. i commend you for making a video for that style of music, not an easy task. I diddnt like all of the lense flair, seemed a little amateur. I liked the other stuff in the office though.

I have to disagree, I liked the lens flare, in fact it seemed to fit the peice, I wish I could come up with awsome ideas like that, making a music video for that type of song is not an easy task, awsome concept. Very, good. I really need to get my DVX out more often.

Thank you very much for your critique...

I must admit, the main reason for the lensflare is to cover up some unwanted redheads ;)
and I am a sucker for lensflares when used right. Maybe it's a litle too much of them.

well well... thank you again for your responses, now I will hand it over to the studio!

Definitely interesting. I liked the music so I stuck through. You’re right, it takes a little while to pick up but once it does, it’s very amusing. A well done video.

I thought the visuals were great - good lighting throughout and framing to match. The music reminded me of this little life-experience for those familiar with the 1970's OC (before the show of the same name existed). Prepare for an exhilerating ride on WEDway's People Mover!

The Edison Electric Institute, for America's investor-owned electric companies, welcomes you aboard the WEDway PeopleMover.

On this clean, quiet, electric powered ride of tomorrow, the PeopleMover will be your front row seat for a Grand Circle tour of Tomorrowland. Along the way on your mile- long journey, you'll preview many attractions looking into the future and see some of the ways electric energy serves mankind.

Now, and tomorrow!

Inside the pavilion, we're now approaching is Mission to Mars. Where space travelers explore one of our solar system's most mysterious planets. The rocketship journey leaves every few minutes for outer space. And across the way is another journey. A Grand Circle-Vision tour of "America The Beautiful."

And now, sit back in your seat as the PeopleMover presents a preview of the city of tomorrow! Man's goal of a better place to live, work and play. This city is a dream. To make it real, we will need to use our energy resources wisely, not wastefully. Today and tomorrow.

And now, the PeopleMover presents a panoramic view of Tomorrowland and the Grand Prix Raceway. And just ahead is the towering symbol of the Space Age, the spectacular Space Mountain.

We're now entering one of the new modern wonders. In a moment, we'll preview the Home of Future Living. And then, Space Mountain's thrilling rocket race through the universe.

The rocket ride through Space Mountain is really out of this world. But you can also see the Home of Future Living inside Space Mountain without taking the rocket ride. Now, as we leave Space Mountain, overhead you can see another form of transportation, the Skyway. Carrying you high above the Grand Prix Raceway and other adventures.

You're riding aboard a brand new concept in electric transportation. The first to use electric linear induction motors. There are no moving parts in these clean, quiet motors. Across the way is the Contemporary Resort. Running right through the hotel is the Walt Disney World Monorail. Another electric-powered transit system here in our vacation kingdom.

We're now moving past the Carousel Of Progress. Where four warm and humorous families welcome you into their homes of yesterday and today, starting way back at the turn of the century. First presented at the New York World's Fair, this famous theater-in-the-round celebrates how progress through electricity has contributed to better living.

Inside the pavilion we're now entering, you'll travel to vacation ports of call through the magic of "If You Had Wings."

(under narration)

You could fly to Bermuda, like a flying fish.
Have a ball on a cruise ship, or catch fish if you wish.
If you had wings! If you had wings!
If you had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings.

In the distance, you will see Cinderella's castle. Those of you who have always wanted an invitation to dine in the castle, will find King Stefan's Banquet Hall inside. Now past the Circle-Vision Theater, where you will see "America The Beautiful" as you've never seen it before. All around you in a full-circle motion picture.

Now as we approach the PeopleMover station, our Grand Circle tour of Tomorrowland is coming to an end, but not to a stop, aboard this transportation system that never stops. On behalf of the Edison Electric Institute for your electric company, we hope you've enjoyed your trip aboard this electric transportation system of tomorrow, here today!

- - - That is what the music in the video reminded me of. Gosh that's a long post and was an even longer ride. Yikes.
