Higher rate for more responsibility as a workflow person?

Just wondering, does anyone charge a higher rate for logging and slating each individual clip (basically taking the same duties as the editor assist) as opposed to just transferring footage from P2 cards to hard drives.

In other words, does anyone have a bass rate for basic workflow management and then charge a premium for other added responsibilities to the workflow?

hell yeh you'd charge more for that. it takes a lot of extra time to log every one of those clips. i haven't had a situation where someone has wanted me to log the clips, but if i did i'd charge my standard day rate plus about $50 an hour for logging after the fact...
