High Speed Recording

I would think that most camera's are the same with this kind of thing. You set your shutter speed to 1/1000 or something and hit record, then you attach it to your computer with firewire and capture it to an NLE and it should be very slow motion, right?

I have an XL1s and Adobe Premiere 6. I did all that, but I'm still getting just a normal playback after capturing. The Premiere will only let me capture in 24 or 29.97 frames, but I don't know if that should make a difference.

Maybe one of you experienced DVXusers could help me out?

shutter speed doesn't change the speed of the video. framerate does. the XL1s only shoots in 29.97fps. that is why you are still getting normal playback.
