High speed cameras

I'm looking to play around with some high speed video footage and am looking for recos for fairly inexpensive HD options. Any thoughts? Things like the casio exilim don't offer the image quality and the phantom is WAY out of my price range. Something around $1000 or less is what I'm looking for. Any thoughts?

I haven´t even seen slow modes on normal cameras in this price range.
The cheapest was some sony camera with slow mode, but it only made 100fps and not HD.
So for that kind of money, there is no high speed camera. I saw some for rent, HD, few thousand FPS - 2000 euro a day and more
For 1000 dollars you better forget about high speed really You´re better of experimenting with 60fps and twixtor plugin.
