So last night I decided to mic up one of our players pregame just for kicks.. Didn't go exactly as planned but I guess I learned alot about it haha.. The mic clip kept coming off during warmups so he had to take it off after a few minutes on the court.. Also it wasn't placed very well on him so it sounded kinda muffled sometimes. One time the plug came loose on the transmitter so I thought that it had gone dead for a second (just had to re plug it in and restart).. Additionally, it sounds pretty hissy at times which is simply because I had to jack the gain in post cause I didn't have the camera volume up enough.
Anyway, enjoy my team's wacky ways of preparing for games and their all out random/goofiness
I had one channel set for the audio technica pro88w, and the other set for my Rode NTG-1 that way in post I could mix both the shotgun audio with the lav audio depending on what was happening.. It was filmed in 72060p, edited in FCP and graded in magic bullet
