Its got a lot of ruff spots, knowing it was pure improv like "that's a nice wall, lets film there" or shooting in a bar full of met-heads and drunk fools and dirty ******....
But its got some cool stuff too. So check it out if you want.
Music is not my type, still everyone

Hey really enjoyed the video, especially the different locations; overlays of the girls dancing worked well too. Also really enjoyed the song, does the artist have a site or a cd available?
Thanks.

Artist name is Brock Dain, his album is not out yet. He should have a personal website on cdbaby.com pretty soon. I hope for him, cause his album is really well produced.

Did you shoot it with the ag-dvx100 or the ag-dvx100A? What software did you use to obtain the film look? Magic B.? Cinelook? Some other after fx plugin?

rawfa = most of it was shot with the dvx100A, for the performance part with him singing in the mic, and with the girls we used multiple 100's and 100A's.
Did some colorcorrection with magic bullet, but did most of it with FinalCut, works faster.

Thanks for the prompt reply. By the way, let me ask you something. I have the chance to buy a second hand ag-dvx100 1000€ cheaper than the ag-dvx100A. Do you think it's worth it to pay 1000€ for what the "A" version has to offer or will I be fully happy with the ag-dvx100 ("non-a")? Thanks

Wow...very nice work!

The quality looked great. I liked your use of rack focusing and the coloring effects.

How did you do the shots of the girls dancing in front of the boxes that changed colors?

I realize you said it had some rough spots, so I take it you probably aren't finished yet....make sure you update with the finished version!

cool video! i like the lady silhouettes...and when the guy fingers the camera in the club.

dude, that was really well done. Everything looked very professional, something you'd see on MTV..

Keep upt he good work

I didn't feel the lead (or singer) was making his acting big enough. He wasn't "selling it" I didn't believe it was him singing, and I didn't believe it was him playing the guitar at all. It could just be me, but I just think he wasn't INTO IT enough.

It's magic! Sorry can't tell, trade secret, maybe someone will figure it out. ;)

Yeah it was his first time being in front of a camera... That's why there are so many cuts.

Eh....I'm guessing you chromakeyed them, and added the background masking it out to do the parts where video shows through it.

That's fine though...I'll figure it out

Awesome work and an Awesome Song!!! I liked the lighting and a lot of the creativs shots. Did you do this for free or was it a paid job? If you did this for free the artist really got an awesome deal. I really did liked the music too...sweet. Only thing is like they said before...the singer wasn't an actor haha

wadespencer99: no it wasnt chroma keyed ;)
nobody356: budget was sub-$1000, this was my first real music video I shot and edited. It was a friend of a friend type deal. It's cool tho, it's like an investment for the future, my crew got some really good music videos coming up. I'll post them up once they're done done.

franck....if this was your first music video.....holy **** dude. I can't wait to see some when you know what you're doing!!!
