Heroes...

Saw the premiere tonight... I don't know... feels like another version of LOST... I hate these multiple, multiple storylines... Give me another season of 24!!!

I really liked it, especially the Japanese guy. I think it was lacking the likability that the characters in Lost has/had. (I have only seen the first season) Also seemed a bit rushed and I don't like the idea of them knowing where these people are or the background research the main characters father did, we shall see how it plays out.

After the show I read a 3 page treatment I wrote a while back with a similar idea. I think that most people have wished or dreamt about having some kind of super power. Which makes a show or movie about heroes gaining/learning or coming to terms with their powers appealing.

Brandon, hows 24 looking this year? I stopped midway through season 3, found it got boring.

i didn't particularly like the pilot, but pilots are tricky things. Im interested enough to check out a couple more episodes though, wich is easy since it leads right into Studio 60, which i refuse to miss :)

Season 6 starts next Jan. I loved season 5, best season by far... I recommend the DVD's... What did you find boring about season 3? I think that's the best season, besides 5...

I went on a 24 binge and in 1 week i finished season 1 and 2, thats what probably did it in for me.

Anytime I get into a "genre" even genre-ish show...it gets cancelled.
Pfewey.

I caught some of heroes. Looks interesting, but I'm just not willing to get attached to anything on tv anymore. Too much heartbreak there. sob sob.

Another LOST... naw. LOST had more of a Lord of the Flies influence/style. Heroes didnt seem like it at all. And all those storylines are gonna collide eventually.

I haven't watched it, but the commercials showed promise. But, I miss the old days, when you could watch any episode of any show and know what's going on. These newer shows, if you miss an episode or two, you're Lost.

i like the linear plot lines though. keep you interested in what will happen next, instead of a series of events. anyway i hope its live for a season or more.

I saw the premiere show of HEROES last week and really liked it. I didn't love it, but the parallel plots definitely kept me interested.

However, as Ricky Ricardo once said, "Lucy...you have some 'splaining to do." I understand the genetic codes misfiring thing...causing people to have extraordinary gifts or powers. But the first episode definitely did not explain how all of the people just happen to be discovering these gifts at the SAME TIME. I mean, if they sweep that under a rug and chalk it up to coincidence, I will consider it lazy writing and tune out.

If, however, they give us a world that makes sense and isn't too farfetched (aside from people being able to fly) then I'll bite. I thought the first show was really good.

One more thing, the commercials for the show are making me nauseous. They are filled with quotes from critics...blah...."Critics are calling this a must-see"....F U. I hate when they tell me what I gotta watch. Let me make my own decision. If your show was any good, would you need all this bogus re-affirmation from these mock critics you keep quoting?

Commercials for TV shows or Movies with critic quotes usually means its a piece of garbage. My .02.

Having said all that, so far its got my interest. I'll watch it tomorrow night...

Saw the premiere. I could practically smell the cheese the acting was so cheezy! The commercials definitely make it look bigger than what it is. I'll give it a few weeks, one season at most.

I think this show is going to die pretty soon, second episode was pretty meh... however I love the Japanese guy.

give me a rerun of seinfeld or fresh prince of bel-air anyday.

HBO is the only network that seems to put out anything worth watching anymore. i could just never get into 24. entourage, big love, and deadwood anyday.

I really hate Ali Larter's character. They have invested so much time into her and its boring as hell.

I actually liked this. episode 2 was much better than the first. problem is, they have soooo many characters that each storyline is moving at a snails pace. I like Ali Larter the best. And thats not just because shes hot. her storyline is the most mysterious. im interested to see what she can do.

but, they STILL havent explained how and why they all are discovering their powers at the same time....

its because they were all hit by Magneto's machine that turns humans into mutants at the same time...
