Wow, thanks the in-depth review and comments, I'm very grateful. I told Anthony (the composer) from the beginning that music was going to define the film.

Funny you mention the ear stud, I hadn't really noticed it before but I agree with you completely! It is distracting and it's the most important scene! I digitally removed the stud from the bedroom scenes when 'Anna' leans in to ask, 'What did he whisper?". For the master version of the film, I'll probably go in there and remove the stud from that final scene completely.

Yea, I know it's a small thing, glad you agree. We're not interested in recreating reality here, we're telling a story. A tiny thing to leap out like that at the end would have been perfect as a clue in murder mystery, but as we both agree, it does nothing for the story here.

Your film should rank extremely high in this festival which I'm starting to believe has the the highest number of quality enteries than any previous.

Thanks for checking the film out, Jack!

Cynic, thanks for the feedback, both your pros and cons, much appreciated.

Hi Geoff,
Congratulations with your first prize! You see, changing your title wasn't such a bad idea, was it? Good luck with the new equipment.

Yahooooooooo!!! That's Two for good olde Columbia College Chicago! So glad to see you take it Geoff. This was a really good film that I was rooting for all along. Congrats! Good job bro.

I had a great time making this film and hopefully all those involved enjoyed it as well. I heaved this project upon a few select people at the very last moment and all of them answered the call, ready to work.

I’d like to thank my cast, Christopher Jennings (Eric), whom is one the finest actors I know! Sarah Evans (Anna) was wonderful and a pleasure to work with! Michael Metreger (Devil) really pulled off the final scene and it was his idea to bring the hat :)

Thanks to Wes Carrasquillo (Wes-C on the boards), my co-DP on this film. He’s got an amazing eye for comp and lighting and I couldn’t have done the film without him…seriously, he was my only crew member :) Thanks to Anthony Shamal Perera, my composer, who managed to craft a beautiful, haunting score. I know he reads the boards…”Anthony, I owe you a drink.” Thanks to my beautiful girlfriend, Carly, who puts up with my bizarre schedule and tolerates my many days and nights behind a lens or computer screen.

To all the members who supported the film! It means a great deal to me! Thank you thank you thank you! You gave me something tonight that I find hard to describe…I think it was my first time feeling ‘recognized’ for my work... It was truly unlike anything I’ve ever felt before and furthermore strengthened my resolve to continue learning, to continue making films. Thank you

As I said in another thread, I have seen every single film produced through the DVXuser fests. I feel that this fest turned out some of the best films the fests have ever seen. There were an incredible amount of great stories all told in unique, artistic methods. A lot of films made me think, made me wonder and made me care for a character or an ideal. I’m honored to be amongst them and to be a part of the fest.

Thank you to the DVXuser community, all the mods, all the members! You’ve made this an incredible place to communicate knowledge and visions. Thanks to Barry, Jarred, Mikko, Jason, Larry and all the mods & members who lent bandwidth for all the films!

Geoff
